As a leading provider of support and activities for Derby and Derbyshire women, Derby Women's Centre has been an invaluable service for local women for over 30 years. We are a women's-only organisation and this has always been one of our main selling points. Many of the women who use our services don't feel comfortable accessing support elsewhere and our non-judgemental and welcoming environment means that they feel extremely at ease using the Centre.
While our portfolio of services is ever-changing, we offer:
Low cost counselling support (delivered solely by female counsellors)
Debt and benefit support
Employment support
Legal advice (provided by Nelsons solicitors)
Immigration advice (provided by Burton & Burton)
Support groups such as the Freedom Programme (a domestic violence support group) and the Phoenix Group (a mental health support group)
Courses and workshops (many of which are mental health and wellbeing workshops)
Complementary therapies (including Red Cross Therapeutic Care massages and manicures)
Coffee mornings
